Description
Since the dawn of history, the bull has represented divinity, authority, and physical power. In Neolithic times, in Pharonic Egypt, in Rome, Greece and even modern Spain, the bull is considered the ultimate sacrifice to the heavens. This splendid bronze object appears to be some kind of votive for a male god. It depicts the elegant head of a horned bull, the very epitome of the animal's grace and power. It may well have stood in proxy for a real bull, a gift to attract the attention of the heavens. Today, thousands of years later, it continues to attract the attention of all who see it. - (FZ.244)
